White gold, platinum, and the magnet that ruins a Saturday
White gold is gold with a costume. Platinum is a different metal. Tungsten rings crash the party. Test. Do not guess from color.

What the shop does on a white ring
We test. We weigh. We say the metal we got. In front of you. We do not file it to death at home and we hope you did not either. Stones are a second conversation. Diamonds at a coin shop. Do not let anyone blend gold, plate, and a stone into one number you cannot unpick.
If it is white gold, we pay the karat. If it is platinum, we pay platinum if we buy platinum. If it is tungsten, we say so. Hallmarks help and still get copied. PT, PLAT, 950, 900 are platinum language. 14K WG is not.
