People sell in a panic and call Friday: “Can I have those eagles back at what you paid me?”

If they are still in the case, a decent shop will sell them to you. At the sell price. Why the two numbers differ. Bid and ask.

That is not a gotcha. You used the shop as a pause button. The pause has a fee. It is called the spread.

If they already resold it

Then they have different eagles, or none. You are just a buyer again. Fine.

Should you sell is the article to read before the panic, not after. If you only needed a bridge, say that up front. Sometimes a smaller sale is the whole point. Walking away. Call ahead.
