Costco gold, then a coin shop: what that resale looks like
Buying Eagles at a warehouse club is fine. Expect shop bid, not Costco nostalgia. Keep the receipt for you, not as a demand that we match retail.
Yes, we see Costco bars and coins. Yes, we will buy them if they are real.
No, we will not reimburse your membership, your gas, or the feeling that you “got a deal.”
What you bought
You bought retail bullion at whatever premium Costco had that week. Sometimes that premium is competitive. Sometimes it is just convenient.
When you sell, you are on the bid side. Why buy and sell differ. Should you sell.
Receipts
Keep them for your taxes and memory. Receipts and cost basis. They do not set our bid. They help prove you own it if anything ever gets weird.
Bars vs coins
Know the product. Generic or brand? Government coin? Government vs generic. Tungsten is why we still test a pretty bar from a pretty store.
