State quarters: 50 designs, almost all still a quarter

1999–2008 50 State Quarters. Clad in circulation. Silver in some proof sets. Your map book is a collection. It is not a retirement.

Several United States state quarters with different reverses on green felt

The 50 State Quarters ran 1999–2008. Five states a year. Circulation strikes are clad. Some proof sets are silver. Washington quarters. Proof vs uncirculated.

A complete clad set in a cardboard map is a collection. It is not a dealer buy pile. We will look if you want. We will not write a fantasy number because Wisconsin has an extra leaf in a forum post.

What people get wrong

  • “They’re going to stop making them” — they already did. Then they made more programs.
  • “The silver ones are in change” — not the circulation ones.
  • “This error I saw on YouTube” — usually machine doubling or a ding. Error hype.

After the states

America the Beautiful is the park series. Then the women and other circulating commemorative quarters. Same rule: clad in change is a quarter.

If you have the silver proofs in the Mint box, bring the box. That is a product, not a junk roll.
