About Us

Coin Shop Inc. is the publishing arm of The Coin Shop L.L.C. in Brighton, Michigan — a family-owned coin and bullion dealer with more than 30 years in the business.

We are dealers and developers. When off-the-shelf retail software and generic e-commerce platforms did not fit how coin shops actually price, buy, and sell inventory, we built our own tools. Those tools became SpotPro and the ExtraCoins dealer storefront platform we share with other shops.

This site collects the articles and guides we wish had existed when we were growing — fraud prevention, wholesale buying, show strategy, website basics, and day-to-day shop operations. We also maintain CoinShows.us, a free directory of local coin shows.
